While small Lipe has been developed over the years, the beaches here really are lovely, and the neighboring islands of Ko Rawi and Ko Adang belong to the national park and have no development on them, perfect for spending the afternoon kayaking around.
This island falls under the jurisdiction of the Tarutao National Park administration. The island is semi-developed, with a village and school, as well as shops and private tourist bungalows — National Park staff are unable to book these in advance. The island is a small flat island dominated by coconut plantations. There are several beaches on the island, and all of them offer different levels of privacy or service.
The island offers a few areas for snorkelling and diving, although going a bit further out to more distant islands gives better diving opportunities.
Pattaya Beach is Koh Lipe’s main beach. It is a large sheltered bay with soft powdery sand, crystal clear blue water and good snorkeling right from the beach. There is a wide range of accommodation on Pattaya beach and there are dozens of bars and restaurants on the beach or around the corner in Walking Street.หลีเป๊ะ 3 วัน 2 คืน In high season it can get quite busy, but the other beaches are only a short 15 minute walk away, so it is still relatively easy to escape the crowds.
